Solid Wood Flooring
- Usually 18mm – 20mm thick it is simply Solid Oak wood species all the way through.
- Plank widths are between 110mm to 200mm wide but they are less stable the greater the width of plank.
- Solid wood flooring MUST be acclimatised to the environment where it will be laid for at least 10 days prior to fitment
- Solid wood floor MUST be nailed or glued directly to the subfloor
- Any solid wood floor will have a tendancy for natural shrinkage and expansion during different climatic conditions in the UK
